On a man known as Samuel Alexander Mudd, a man convicted for aiding in the assassination of president Abraham Lincoln. Mudd was an American Physician, and from what I have read he was pardoned and released from jail by President Andrew Johnson in 1869, his family members demanded it be expunged but failed.
